Just the other day I took my shih tzus to the veterinary doctor for a parvo vaccination. George weighs in at nineteen and a half pounds and Eve and sixteen and half lbs. They both like going to the veterinary doctor, everybody gives them so much notification. Eve insisted on moving in first by provoking such a bustle, George followed with his tail between his legs.

Eve ran back out when the veterinary doctor had ended examining her Then it all went horribly wrong Eve started to retch all the contents in her stomach. Our shih tzu was so sick she couldnt displace not even an inch. We hung around in the hope that her condition would get better fairly rapidly. Eve was in a awful condition and didnt know what to do, it was like looking at an elephant being shot and losing control of its legs slowly but surely.

Our vet John was very quick off the market and got some steroids into our shitzu as fast as he could. We waited to see if this would work against the vaccine. Her breathing became very difficult, and she looked even less reactive. We rushed her to a specialty infirmary where she was admitted in serious state There was only so much John could do so we brought her to a special hospital for pets. At this period we could only pray that everything would work out.

She had many I.V. lines and oxygen. No one supposed our shih tzu dog would be with us much longer. She spent most of the week in this hospital, being given fluids, plasma, antibiotics, and a lot of TLC.Basically she went into shock after being given her remedy by John, it wasnt his fault as he could never have known this was going to take place.Happily the story has a happy ending as Eve is on the road to healing.

Whilst recovering she appears to spend a lot of time drinking water and drowsing off whilst she recuperates every day. I think she will come to a full recovery gradually. It is incredible how much I now know about these injections that are given to dogs, I spend a huge amount of time researching the on the net.

Certain forms of drugs make this shih tsu breed more likely to react and thats what took place with Eve.I am on a bit of crusade now to make sure people manage to obtain "full disclosure".It really cost us a lot of money we could ill afford to spend however we would do anything for our dog.I really think strongly though that people should never have to observe what happenned to us.
